How not to forget your ideas

wridea How not to forget your ideasI recently stumbled across a simple online tool called Wridea. It’s a tool which could be particularly useful for freelancers or start-ups who have ideas which they want to arrange simply and effectively on an online interface.

The idea behind the site is to ensure that people don’t forget the ideas they’ve previously come up with. Unless they want to of course.

The service is very simple with an easy method of inputting your ideas and then categorising them. It also offers the opportunity for collaboration with the option of inviting friends or colleagues onto your network. They can then add suggestions and participate in online brainstorming sessions.

I hope they add more tools and features it would be good to see a few more whistles and perhaps a couple of bells. At the moment the only visualisation tool is the somehow very satisfying, ‘Idea Rain’ which, as the name suggests, rains down your individual ideas side-by-side on the screen in front of you. But that’s a minor quibble for a service that is completely free.

The benefits of being able to share a brainstorm session with others and keep ideas safe for a rainy day out-weigh the rather limited options right now but, with a bit of polish this could turn into a very useful site indeed.

I also loved the fact that registration was wonderfully easy. Simply enter your email address and you can begin; you don’t even have to wait for an email confirmation link.

You can try it out here.
