The UK Government has announced severe cuts today to Non-departmental public bodies (or Quangos), with thousands expected to lose their jobs across a range of sectors. Overall 192 Quangos will be abolished, with a further 289 due to be restructured and reformed. The full list of cuts is available on the Cabinet Office Website.
