The Awards are also an excellent place to publicise you and your work – especially if it is YOU that walks away with the coveted Farm Freelancer Award!

Only a few days left to enter!

Don’t miss out on entering this year’s Digital Media Awards South, a new awards ceremony celebrating the best in digital in the south of the UK. Entry is free (in as many categories as you like) and very straightforward – but you must submit no later than next Wednesday 22nd October.

There’s now a fantastic confirmed line-up of judges including Peter Cowley, Head of Digital for Endemol, and Mike Nutley, Editor of the NMA, who will be reviewing all entries over the coming 2 weeks and on judging day.

What are the DiMAS?

Taking place in the hotbed of digital creativity that is Brighton on 27th November 2008, the DiMAS recognise the growing convergence taking place across the different digital disciplines and, by bringing them together in one awards event, reward the very best of them on one not-to-be-forgotten night. If you work for or run a web agency or a games studio, specialise in social media, are an e-learning business, write a blog, or are an animation or digital TV company then these awards are for you: entry to any of the categories is free and the deadline for submission of entries is Wednesday 22nd October.

Criteria

The award will be judged by members of the Farm, the Brighton-based networking group for web designers, developers and people with related new media skills. They will be looking for examples of innovation, technical and creative skills, business success and the ability to establish successful client relationships and keep to brief.

How?

You must submit at least 2 recent examples of work, and a written submission of up to 500 words including how it answers the brief you were given to dimas@wiredsussex.com. You should also include the name and contact number of one client for us to contact; please note we’ll get in touch with you before phoning your client, so please include your own contact details in your submission.

If you work for a digital agency or content company and have delivered creativity, commercial growth, or collaborative activity, then this is your chance to shout about it and get the recognition and profile you deserve. We’re inviting entries from web, games, film, TV and mobile companies, and from bedroom freelancers through to well-established digital media brands.

  • Your work in front of a judging panel of respected industry figures

Who’s running it?

Picking up the mantle from the highly successful Brighton Web Awards, the DiMAS are organised by Wired Sussex and very ably supported by the hard work, resources and brains of the good folks at Midnight Communications and Sussex Community Internet Project.
