Hello there!
The more eagle-eyed of you may have noticed a few subtle changes to the Freelance Advisor site recently. If you’ve not noticed then take a look… you’ll see it is looking a little smarter, tidier and, we hope, more readable. We’ve also added Google Search (let’s face it the old search worked… but only just!).
I also wanted to let you in on a few of the Big Plans™ we’ve got for the future:
First up there is our Logo Competion. I know, we’ve already got a logo right? Well, this is for a new project called “Contractor Advisor” — can you guess what it’ll be about?
We’ll soon fill you in with more details on our sister-site just as soon as she’s ready for her first public outing (at the moment she’s still in Mummy’s tummy, rather underdeveloped but growing every day) but we thought we’d ask for your help — more details here: Contractor Advisor Logo Competition
And, if you’re a contractor yourself or know anyone who’s been in the game a few years, we’re looking for Advisors, Experts and Bloggers who’ll help us make Contractor Advisor as fun and fact filled as FA. If you want to write for us then please do get in touch!
Next We’re planning on making Freelance Advisor more useful for you, that includes a new Job section that’ll really help you get your work in front of clients and help you find clients looking for the kind of work you do — it’s a very exciting project and I can’t wait to get it up and running. We’d also love to know what you think you need.
And then we’re launching a Freelance Directory to help UK freelancers find friends, colleagues, competition and clients. We really want this to be something a little special, not just your average list of names and contact details, but a super swanky tool that is not only fun to use but also actually useful. I met with a developer yesterday to talk about this new section but, again, we’d also love love love to get your feedback on what you think a good directory should contain.
Q: What would you like to see in the Freelance Directory?
Please leave your suggestions in the comments below or in the Freelance Directory forum thread
Q: What does a great Jobs service look like?
Again, we’d love to hear your suggestions in the comments or in the Freelance Directory forum thread
