It’s been over a year since freelance advisor contributor and Farm founder Paul Silver wrote about getting useful business cards and while the core-advice hasn’t changed we think it’s time to revive this topic and discover some of your ideas for Better Business Cards.
So… Starting today we’re looking for the smartest, most innovative and creative designs and uses for business cards.
And the best design idea will win a set of 200 cards from Moo.com (worth £39.99).
Some great ideas to get you thinking:
A Moo mini-card mosaic
The ingenious (and often imitated) Aral Balkan has a Photoshop template that’ll help you make a 100 piece mosaic of your good self. Impress clients with a small snippet of your earlobe.
Some brilliant designs
The medium is the message for this Divorce Laywer
And this yoga teacher has certainly stretched the possibilities of what you can do…
Finally, a scary man taking business card design WAAAY too seriously:
This guy is either a marketing genius who really knows how to get under your skin, the kind of guy you kinda want to hate but can’t, or he’s… I dunno… I can’t decide. If you’ve not seen his ‘motivational’ talk on how crap your business cards is and how wonderful his are then you really need to see this:

I love the yoga card. I always see these great business card design ideas on line but how often do you see a truly inventive business card in real life. I like business cards that are simple in design but a little out of the ordinary like a card with rounded edges.

Aaargh – couldn't get it to work. I already have a moo account and wanted to reorder some cards (have become a bit of a networking junkie!), but couldn't manage to get the 25% off. Is there a code to enter instead?

Aaargh – I couldn't get the discount to work. Is it because I already have an account? I want some more cards (have become a bit of a networking junkie recently!) but also want the 25% discount!

Sorry Claire, the offer is for new orders/customers only by the look of it, no code I'm afraid.

As creative as his card might be, its too large. Simply give your prospect a brochure oppose to an oversize business card. I do appreciate and believe a card can be a valuable tool if planned right, but I doubt any card needs to cost $4 each.
